Oversaw day-to-day management of operations, budgeting, student/faculty recruitment and retention, course scheduling, faculty advisement on tenure and promotion and curriculum development and revision. Extensive experience with outcomes assessment especially as related to professional and regioinal accreditation in higher education. Dr. Busacco serves as an evaluator for Middle States Higher Education Commission. She will complete her first site visit for MSCHE in 2013.
Specialties: Served as program director and completed all administrative duties of the George Osborne School of Audiology due to sudden death of Dea. Dr. Busacco serves as a consultant on student recruitment for HearUSA Coproration in West Palm Beach, Florida. Her textbook “Audiologic Interpetation Across the Lifespan was published by Pearson in 2010. She is currently working on a textbook entitled Audiologic Management Across the Lifespan. In 2011-2012 Dr. Busacco taught at Northwestern University. At present, she holds a one-year faculty position at Montclair State University’s AuD prgram for 2012-2013 academic year. Dr. Busacco earned her PhD, MPhil, MS in audiology from Columbia University. She earned her AB from Marywood university in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Dr. Busacco is an actrive member of Columbia University Alumni Association.
Dr. Busacco has completed numeriopus workshops through the Office of Women in Higher Education (OWHE) of the American Council of Higher Education. At preent, Dr. Busacco is enrolled in Northeastern University’s Graduate PRogram in Higher Education Management and will complete the program in the summer of 2013. Dr. Busacco has published extensively in the profession of audiology. higher education and gerontology. She has an international reputation in the area of audiologi management of older adults with hearing loss.
